Flying to Cyprus

The legal points of entry to the Republic of Cyprus are the Larnaca International Airport and the Pafos International Airport (http://www.hermesairports.com). You can either take the shuttle or a taxi to Nicosia.

Shuttle bus services

Shuttle bus services run to and from the Larnaca and Pafos International Airports by Kapnos Airport Shuttle company. At Larnaca airport the bus is reachable at the basement when arriving (exit left) and it is leaving at 2.00 am and 4.45 am and then from 8.45 until 23.55 hourly. The travel from Larnaca to Nicosia (and vice versa) takes about 40 minutes and the ticket costs 9€ each way (for further information, you may visit: http://www.kapnosairportshuttle.com


The travel from Pafos to Nicosia is about 1 hour 40 min. and costs 16€ each way. For further information about the timetable from and to the Airport of Pafos, please consult  Paphos Airport – Nicosia | Kapnos Airport Shuttle. The shuttle bus will transfer passengers to the central Kapnos Bus Station in Nicosia; participants will then have to take a taxi or bus to transfer to their selected hotels at a price of 6-12€ depending on the destination. Always check for the taximeter to be on.http://www.kapnosairportshuttle.com

Taxi services

Booking a taxi from and to the airports of Larnaca or Pafos might be quite expensive unless you plan to share it with other travellers. It can be booked on arrival and / or on departure. Prices range depending on a destination but you need to book your taxi beforehand.

Indicatively, the lowest price for a single ride from Larnaca Airport to Nicosia and vice versa is around €40-€50 each way and can raise to €80 after 11.00. The price from Pafos airport to Nicosia is 120€ during the day and 150€ after 11.00.

Getting around 


Public Transport

(Mini) Bus transport is the only public transport in the cities in Cyprus. Tickets may be purchased on the bus. One-way tickets cost €2 and night tickets €3.50. Taxi services

To get around you can also book a taxi. Charging is always estimated by a taximeter. The initial charge is € 3.42 (06:01 pm-20:30 am) and €4.36 (20:31 am-06:00 pm). The fare per kilometer is €0.73 and €0.85 respectively. Taxis are call-in services therefore you might not be able to find a taxi on the street. Intercity buses also run between cities.
